Creators vs Destroyers

This logo was created for the volunteerska website, which supports our brothers and sisters in Ukraine as they struggle to protect their families and lives during the ongoing violent Russian invasion. The color green represents growth, renewal and hope. The design is a reference to vyshyvanka, the artistic embroidery style of traditional clothing in Ukraine. Every vyshyvanka tells a story and is a talisman that protects the person wearing it. In Ukraine, if a person is described as "hародився у вишиванці" it means they were born wearing a vyshyvanka - emphasizing their luck and ability to survive in any situation. The logo's hand-drawn C and D, as well as the centerpiece motif, are customized to resemble vyshyvanka stitching. The center treatment doubles as arrows pointing to both sides of the conflict.
